Tyre

Effects from inflating the tyre

What effect when you under or overinflation?

Underinflation:
• reduce the tire tread life
• shoulder worn out faster than other parts
• build up excessive heat causing the separation among tread and shoulder
• tear apart or break the sidewall carcass
• high fuel consumption
• tread break easily at speed higher than 100 km./hr.

Overinflation:
• easily skid as the size of its footprint in contact with the road is reduced.
• carcass can explode on big impact or penetrations due to fully stretched carcass which lessens flexibility.
• irregular wear in the middle of tread more than other parts
• reduce the tire tread life
• less comfort when driving
